Happy Zombie, Monica Solorio-Snow, is coming to visit us at the Fraser Valley Modern Quilt Guild! Eeep! Can you believe it? It’s such a relief to finally say it out loud! I don’t think we could have held it in much longer!

April 11th and 12th!

On Friday, April 11th Monica is going to join us on a Happy Zombie (Shop) Walk! Basically it’s a shop hop. The schedule is as follows:

11:30 -12:30 Daiso
12:30-1:30 lunch at the food court in Yaohan Centre  and then for bubble tea at Juice King (in Yaohan Centre)
4-5 Little Quilt shop in the Woods
5:45 or 6 Cactus club. (Abbotsford)
$5 for attendance to cover a few costs and of course you will be required to pay for your own meal and fabric 😉
Deadline for registering for the shop hop will be  April 3rd. All participant are required to prepay. This is so we know how many people will be attending and we can warn stores that we will be invading them (and make reservations).

Then the  following day, Saturday, April 12th,  join Monica for a  A Happy Zombie sew-a long!

Choose between either pattern, “Sprinkle” or “Patio” (psst it’s included in your registration fee!) Can’t decide? Gosh darn it have a huge UFO pile your dying to catch up on? It’s okay, it’s not mandatory you sew a pattern but it is mandatory you have fun! We are going to have fun gosh darn it! In addition to the sew-a-long Monica has agreed to give an informal trunk show! Woot!

Like all our sew in days, the room is open at 9:30 for set up and we will be raring to go at 10am. We have the room until 4:30pm! Lunch is not provided so please bring one and a snack… and probably some water, er some kind of drink. Make sure you stay hydrated. We don’t want any fainters!

Registration fee: $65 (Remember that includes a pattern!)

We are expecting quite a turn out so we will be asking everyone to preregister. To do so please email me, Lysa, at lysa@lysaflower.com. HOWEVER, please note we only have capacity for 20 spots. If we have over 20 registered we will be randomly drawing for those 20 spots. Deadline for registration will be March 14. If your name is not drawn your cheque (holding your spot) will be returned to you at the May meeting. If you name is drawn, your pattern, which includes your supply list, will be emailed to you by March 15!
